Easy access to unified government portal services

At the Unified Government Services Portal, we are committed to providing inclusive and accessible digital services in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. This commitment supports the Sultanate of Oman’s national digital transformation efforts and aligns with Oman Vision 2040. 

We design our website, mobile application, and digital content to work seamlessly with the accessibility features built into the latest versions of major operating systems, web browsers, and screen readers. The portal also supports commonly used screen readers and assistive technologies.

We recognize that some existing content and features may not yet fully meet all WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements. However, we are continuously improving accessibility as part of our national programme to ensure equitable access for all users.

We strive to provide an accessible experience by:

  • Designing the portal with a simple, intuitive user interface that enables easy navigation and access to all content, while ensuring compatibility across different devices and web browsers.

  • Providing a sitemap with a clear structure of the website’s sections and pages, making it easier to navigate and find the required pages.

  • Enabling users to navigate and interact with the portal using keyboard navigation tools.

  • Supporting screen readers to enable users to read text and identify links, buttons, and visual content.

  • Providing alternative text for images and other visual elements, helping users understand their content and purpose.

  • Providing sign language guidance to help users understand how to use the platform and support a more inclusive digital experience.
