TRA Launches Turs platform for Fraud Reporting

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) launched the Turs digital platform in July. It is a national platform for managing online fraud reports, designed to strengthen digital security in Oman by centralizing reports and enabling faster coordination among the relevant authorities in responding to digital threats. It also offers online services that allow individuals and businesses to submit reports through an electronic form, making it easier to report digital incidents and helping relevant authorities process reports efficiently.
The platform enables users to report a wide range of harmful online activities, including suspicious local and international phone numbers, malicious links, phishing messages, abusive social media accounts, misleading digital content, and content that violates community values.
Turs analyzes the information submitted through reports to identify common fraud patterns and detect the methods used in online fraud. It also facilitates coordination and information sharing among the relevant authorities, helping improve response times, strengthen the management of digital risks, and support timely action.
The platform reflects TRA's commitment to leveraging digital solutions to enhance the management of online fraud reports and provide a unified online channel for individuals and businesses to report harmful online activities.
