The Unified Government Services Portal attracted more than 285,000 users and facilitated 779,211 electronic transactions during its first year, following its launch in February 2025 by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology. This reflects the growing reliance on digital channels to access government services in the Sultanate of Oman.

Since its launch, the portal has also indexed more than 3,200 government services within the Unified Government Services Catalogue, representing 58 government entities. In addition, 80 integrated government services from 10 government entities are now available through a single platform, strengthening the centralisation of government services and making them easier and more efficient to access.

The increasing adoption of the portal is also reflected in user feedback, with satisfaction rates ranging between 83% and 94%. These figures highlight the growing trust in government digital services and their role in improving the beneficiary experience while simplifying access to government services.

As part of efforts to continuously enhance the user experience, Gov.om introduced several digital solutions during its first year. These include the launch of a mobile application and a digital assistant designed to respond to user enquiries and guide them to relevant services.

In addition, the portal launched the first edition of the GovThon Government Services Challenge, an initiative aimed at encouraging innovation in the development of government services and supporting new digital solutions.

Further initiatives introduced during the year include government notifications, the unified digital mailbox, and a visual library in sign language. These initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to strengthening digital inclusion and ensuring that government services are accessible to different segments of society.

In its first phase, the portal focused on integration with 10 priority government entities: the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Social Development, Royal Oman Police, Supreme Judicial Council, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, Social Protection Fund, and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning. Services continue to be added gradually based on clear priorities and unified standards.

This initiative forms part of the government’s broader efforts to advance digital government transformation and improve how beneficiaries get government services, in line with the goals of Oman Vision 2040. It also supports the unification of standards, strengthens integration between government entities, and enables data-driven decision-making while aligning with international best practices in e-government.

Looking ahead, the first year of Gov.om represents an important milestone in the development of digital government in the Sultanate of Oman. Future plans focus on expanding service integration, developing new digital solutions, and using emerging technologies to further improve government performance and enhance the quality of services delivered to the community.
