Undersecretary of Health Launches the National Vector Surveillance Strategy and Rased Program

The Ministry of Health has launched the “Rased” Epidemiological Surveillance System as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the national health security framework and enhance proactive public health response capabilities, in line with national efforts to advance an integrated digital health system driven by data and early risk analysis.

The “Rased” system is an advanced digital platform designed to support real-time field tracking and connect health data with decision-making centers. It enables the collection of data related to communicable diseases, disease vectors, and environmental health from field locations across the Sultanate, supporting continuous monitoring and the early detection of outbreaks or unusual increases in infection rates.

The system also provides advanced capabilities for real-time data entry, analysis, and visualization, contributing to faster, data-driven health decisions and streamlining reporting procedures across healthcare institutions and field teams in all governorates.

Rased enhances the speed, quality, and accuracy of information flow, strengthening the efficiency of the early warning system and its ability to detect alert indicators and respond rapidly to health events. The platform also supports integration across all levels of the healthcare system through the development of a unified national database that enables predictive analysis and evidence-based decision-making.

The Ministry stated that the launch of the Rased system marks a key milestone in implementing the epidemiological and vector surveillance strategy, contributing to a more efficient and sustainable healthcare system capable of addressing future health challenges and promoting public health.
