As part of the Sultanate of Oman’s national readiness and proactive response to weather conditions, and following the impacts of Al Masarrat low-pressure system, government entities have activated an integrated set of digital services to support recovery efforts. This reflects strong coordination and efficient performance across entities, ensuring that affected individuals can access services easily and flexibly through available digital channels, whether via Gov.om or the platforms of relevant entities.

To support those affected, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has made it possible to request compensation through the service “Request compensation for weather-related damage.” The service enables individuals and owners of damaged homes and properties to submit their requests online through a dedicated platform, helping to speed up compensation procedures and ensure a timely response that meets their needs and supports their stability.

The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs has also provided a donation service to support those affected, as part of the “We will strengthen you with your brother” campaign. The service enables individuals and organisations to contribute to supporting affected families through trusted digital channels, reflecting the values of community solidarity and strengthening the role of society in supporting national recovery efforts.

Additionally, municipalities across governorates have activated services for reporting damage, removing waste and debris, and handling affected sites through the “Tajawob” platform and contact centres. These services enable residents in affected areas to submit requests and reports online, helping speed up recovery work, restore public facilities and services, and improve the efficiency of field response.

Emergency and reporting services have also been activated, enabling all individuals to report urgent cases and weather-related damage immediately. This supports faster handling of reports, ensures necessary actions are taken efficiently, and strengthens overall emergency response readiness.

These integrated efforts highlight the advanced level of government performance in the Sultanate of Oman in terms of rapid response, coordinated roles, and the use of digital technologies to serve beneficiaries. They also enhance the efficiency of managing emergency situations and reinforce a flexible system capable of addressing various challenges.

Government entities continue to monitor the impact of the weather condition and provide the necessary support to those affected, while emphasising the importance of using official digital channels to ensure quick and reliable access to services.
