Registration Now Open for Digital Excellence Award 2025
The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, through the Government Digital Transformation Programme (Tahawul), has opened registration for the second edition of the Government Digital Excellence Award 2025. The initiative aims to accelerate digital transformation, foster innovation across government entities, and strengthen Oman’s global standing in the digital economy and governance competitiveness, in line with the ambitions of Oman Vision 2040.
Building on the success of its first edition, the Award has become a national platform that celebrates distinguished achievements in digital transformation. It recognises government entities, initiatives, services, and competencies that have enhanced operational efficiency, redefined work environments, and delivered high-impact digital solutions that improve the quality of life for beneficiaries. The initiative further promotes a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by encouraging entities to adopt global best practices in digital governance and service delivery.
This year’s edition features four main tracks designed to showcase excellence and innovation within the public sector. The Entities Track highlights entities achieving exceptional results in digital transformation, ICT governance compliance, and digital user experience, as well as those demonstrating significant progress in the Digital Excellence Assessment. The Initiatives Track honours initiatives that integrate digital transformation across services, promote e-participation, and leverage emerging technologies to deliver tangible impact. The Services Track focuses on recognising the best digital government services offered to individuals and businesses, reflecting the government’s ongoing commitment to efficiency, accessibility, and user satisfaction. Meanwhile, the Competencies Track celebrates human excellence through awards for the best digital transformation team, outstanding leadership in managing digital transformation and entity change, promising digital talents, and digital transformation ambassadors who champion a culture of innovation across government entities.
