Gov.om signs MoU to Activate Sign language Support

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, represented by the Gov.om, signed a cooperation agreement with the “Nafith” application at Alizz Islamic Bank to enable video call services through the portal’s contact center. The initiative coincides with Arab Deaf Week, as part of national efforts to enhance digital inclusion and facilitate access to government services.
The initiative also witnessed the launch of the first dedicated video call center for people with hearing disabilities, allowing direct communication with government entities through video calls supported by sign language, thereby simplifying procedures and reducing time and effort.
This agreement builds on ongoing cooperation with “SignBook”, aiming to expand access to government services for people with hearing disabilities through more integrated and efficient digital solutions.
