"Ayadi" Platform brings volunteers together
Under the patronage of His Excellency Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat, the Ministry of Social Development has launched the digital platform "Ayadi", which is dedicated to organising volunteer work, highlighting the contributions of volunteers, and recognising pioneering Omani youth in the field of volunteering.
Ayadi is the first digital platform of its kind to bring together volunteers and institutions. It facilitates access to volunteering opportunities across a range of sectors, particularly in health, education, the environment, and relief work. The platform provides a variety of innovative services for volunteers, including the issuance of certificates for completed volunteering activities, high-quality training and development programmes to enhance volunteers’ skills and efficiency, and a comprehensive record of all volunteer contributions. It also offers both local and international volunteering opportunities while fostering collaboration and integration between public and private entities, volunteer teams, associations, and organisations, thereby strengthening connections among all stakeholders involved in volunteer work.
Through Ayadi, users can search for available initiatives by name, category, start date, or end date. Each opportunity includes detailed information such as a clear description of the initiative, its objectives, the number and percentage of participating volunteers, and the specific time and location.
The Ministry of Social Development encourages all segments of society to take part in volunteering, given its far-reaching positive impact on communities. To support this, Ayadi provides dedicated communication channels, including direct telephone numbers and a designated email address for enquiries about volunteering and available opportunities.
The Ayadi digital platform reflects ongoing efforts to enhance the volunteering ecosystem in the Sultanate of Oman and reaffirms the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening the culture of voluntary work and promoting solidarity and cooperation within society.
