Special conditions
- Compliance with the Fish Farming Regulations and the Quality Control of Farmed Fish, as stipulated in Ministerial Decision No. (177/2012), is mandatory.
- Discharging excess wastewater beyond the needs of the agricultural land into the sewage system or low-lying areas is strictly prohibited.
- Wastewater from the fish farm should be used for irrigating crops and trees, with amounts controlled to avoid waste.
- A sufficient source of groundwater must be available for use in aquaculture.
- The fish farm owner must comply with the water quality standards set by the Ministry.
- The farm area must be at least 3 acres.
- The aquaculture farm area must not exceed 10% of the total farm area.
- Freshwater fish are bred in an integrated system that combines fish breeding (hatching) with crops.
- The integrated aquaculture license for fish breeding in freshwater (hatching) is issued upon the completion of construction at the fish farm.
- The licensee is responsible for ensuring the quality of fish at harvest and during marketing, adhering to the standards set by the Ministry to maintain quality.
- The licensee must allow specialists to take fish samples during harvest for analysis and research purposes.
- Ministry technicians, specialists, and researchers must be granted access to inspect the farm and collect data to enhance fish production.
- As specified by the Ministry, the licensee must maintain detailed records for the fish farm and present them during inspections.
- Spraying chemical pesticides or medicines on trees near the fish farm and using agricultural tools for these purposes in the vicinity of the farm are prohibited.
- Fish feed must be stored properly and safely.
- Using medications, hormones, or feed additives is not allowed without prior authorization.
- Introducing new species for aquaculture is prohibited without prior approval from the relevant authorities.
