Special conditions
- The integrated fish farming license for ornamental fish in freshwater will be issued upon completion of the construction works at the fish farm.
- The use of any drugs, hormones, or feed additives is prohibited without prior authorization.
- Fish feed must be stored in a proper and safe manner.
- The spraying of chemical pesticides and medicines on trees near the fish farm is prohibited, as well as the use of agricultural tools intended for this purpose.
- The licensee is required to maintain the records for the fish farm, which will be provided by the ministry, and present them to the relevant authorities during farm visits.
- The license holder must allow specialists to take samples of fish during harvest for analysis and study.
- The licensee must allow specialists to take samples of the fish during harvesting for analysis and study.
- The licensee must comply with the provisions of the Fish Farming Regulation and the Quality Control of Farmed Fish, issued by Ministerial Decision No. (177/2012).
- The licensee must ensure the quality of fish during harvesting and marketing, in accordance with the standards set by the ministry to guarantee quality.
- Freshwater fish farming is carried out in an integrated system with agricultural crops after completing all necessary procedures.
- The area of the aquaculture farm should not exceed 10% of the total area of the farm.
- The area of the farm should not be less than 3 acres.
- The fish farm owner must comply with the water quality standards set by the ministry.
- The farmer must have a sufficient source of groundwater for use in fish farming.
- Fish wastewater must be used to irrigate the area allocated for crops and trees, without exceeding the specified amount to prevent wastage.
- The excess water from the fish farm, beyond the agricultural land's needs, is prohibited from being discharged into the sewage system or low-lying lands.
- The introduction of new species for farming purposes is prohibited without prior approval from the relevant authorities.
