Apply for a Title Deed - Property Exchange

This service enables you to register an exchange contract for a property or land between you and another property owner, transfer ownership of each property or piece of land to the other party, and get a new title deed.

  • Title deed
  • ID card.
  • If you are applying on behalf of the property owner: Your ID card, a copy of the owner's ID card, the original power of attorney and a copy of it

Service steps

Special conditions

  • You and the owner of the other property, or your legal representatives, must attend the General Directorate of Housing and Urban Planning in the governorate to sign the contract.
  • You and the owner of the other property must both be at least 18 years old and legally able to act, or be represented by a legal representative
  • The property must not have any restrictions or be affected by planning projects that prevent you from exchanging it
  • The property must not be under seizure or mortgaged unless the mortgagee approves
  • You must renew the Survey plan (krooki), if required.
  • If you are a citizen of a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) country, you cannot own land or property in restricted areas in the Sultanate of Oman.
