Get a Temporary Vessel Registration Certificate
This service enables you to temporarily register a vessel and get a registration certificate until the permanent registration requirements are completed.

Required documents
- Classification society certificates
- Photograph of the vessel
- Approval from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources for fishing activities
- Vessel construction drawings
- Engine purchase invoice
- For ships or marine units under construction: vessel construction agreement
- For imported ships or marine units registered under another flag: Certificate of deletion from the previous registry and sale agreement
- For newly built or imported ships or marine units: Certificate of origin, purchase invoice, and sale agreement

Special conditions
- The ship must not be listed as prohibited
- The applicant must be an Omani citizen or resident of Oman
- The applicant must be the owner of the vessel, or an authorised representative of the owner
- No maritime activity is allowed during the temporary registration period
