Special conditions

  • The distance between the proposed site and any existing, under-construction, or approved fuel station must be at least 5 kilometers in the same direction or the opposite direction if the road is not dual. However, for Muscat Governorate, Salalah in Dhofar Governorate, and Sohar in Al Batinah North Governorate, there are no distance requirements, provided that the project's economic feasibility is considered, along with technical, planning and security aspects
  • Fuel station permits shall not be granted to individuals who own a fuel station, either in their own name or through a company
