Special conditions
- To be a continuous, lawful resident of the Sultanate of Oman for a period of no less than twenty (20) twenty years, and not to be absent during one year for a period not exceeding sixty (60) days during the period mentioned
- They must be fluent in speaking and writing Arabic
- They must be of a good conduct
- They must not have been previously convicted of a felony or a crime against honor or trust, even if they have restored their reputation
- They must be healthy and free from infectious diseases, as specified by the regulations
- To have a legitimate source of income that provides enough to meet their needs and the needs of those they support
- They must submit a written acknowledgment of their desire to renounce the citizenship of the country they holds, and provide an evidence that its law allows them to do so
