Special conditions
- To be a continuous, lawful resident in the Sultanate of Oman for a period of no less than 20 years, or 15 years if he is married to an Omani woman, provided that their marriage was approved prior by the ministry, and he has a child from her, and not to be absent during one year not more than 60 days during the same period mentioned
- He must be fluent in writing and speaking Arabic
- He must be of good conduct
- He must not have been previously convicted of a felony or a crime against honor or trust, even if he has restored his reputation
- He must be healthy and free from infectious diseases, as specified by the regulations
- He must have a legitimate source of income that provides enough to meet his needs and the needs of those he supports
- He must submit a written acknowledgment of his desire to renounce the nationality of the country in which he holds, and to provide evidence that its law permits him to do so
