  • Copy of the candidate's ID card
  • Academic qualification certificate and an equivalency certificate if the qualification was issued abroad
  • Certificate of good conduct and behavior
  • Employment or experience certificate, or a retirement card
  • Training courses, workshops and conferences

Service steps

Special conditions

  • The candidate must be an Omani citizen by origin.
  • The candidate must be at least 30 years old at the time of nomination opening.
  • The candidate must hold an educational qualification of at least a General Education Diploma.
  • The candidate must not have been convicted by a final judgment of a felony or a crime involving dishonor or breach of trust, even if rehabilitated.
  • The candidate must be registered in the electoral roll of the constituency they are running for.
  • The candidate must not be affiliated with any security or military entity.
  • The candidate must not be under legal guardianship by court ruling.
  • The candidate must not suffer from a mental illness affecting their legal capacity.
