Closing of Duqm Refinery Hackathon 2025

Under the theme "Partnership for Sustainable and Innovative Solutions," the activities of Duqm Refinery Hackathon 2025 concluded successfully. The hackathon was held from January 30 to February 1, 2025, in cooperation with Duqm Refinery and Petrochemical Industries Company, Al Wusta Governorate Office, Duqm Special Economic Zone, and Matters Company for Community and Institutional Innovation.

The hackathon targeted the participation of all groups interested in technology, innovation, and future solutions, including university students and graduates, employees in the public and private sectors, job seekers, academic researchers, entrepreneurs, and start-ups in the fields of technology and innovation.

The hackathon highlighted a variety of fields, including the water services sector, the energy sector, the logistics and transportation sector, the environment sector, urban planning, and tourism.

The hackathon was officially launched on January 16, 2025, through the social media platforms of organizing entities. Registration was conducted via an electronic form, and participants progressed through various stages, including a virtual training camp before the final qualifiers were selected.

It is worth noting that the hackathon is one of the most prominent annual events expected in the Al Wusta Governorate, as it provides an exceptional and important experience for developing innovative ideas, finding realistic solutions, and bringing together creative minds to create sustainable solutions with a tangible impact.
