The Ministry of Information’s Injaz Platform streamlines the authorization process for publications and artistic works, providing a seamless experience for individuals. This year, the platform introduced a new service for licensing the printing of publications within the Sultanate of Oman, offering an integrated solution for writers, authors, and local publishing houses.

This service aligns with the Ministry’s goal of providing smart e-services to individuals and institutions through simplified procedures that minimize time and effort. The printing license process follows a clear and structured workflow, starting with user login via ID card authentication. Applicants must complete the designated form by providing details of the publication, author, and publisher, along with a final electronic copy of the publication that matches the version to be printed. The Department of Press and Publications then reviews the application to ensure compliance with the regulations set by the Publications and Printing Law in Oman. The application may be approved, rejected, or amended as necessary. Upon approval, the system issues a local deposit number and an international standard number. The entire process is completed within a maximum of 10 working days, fully online, and at no cost, eliminating the need for in-person visits to the Ministry.

In addition to publication licensing, the Injaz Platform offers a range of e-services tailored to private sector institutions in Oman. These include obtaining licenses and permits, business transfers, license cancellations, authorization requests, bulletin issuance, exhibition organization, and many other Ministry-related services. The platform also features a comprehensive services guide detailing over 170 available services, ensuring easy access to essential information.
