Under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham bin Tarik Al Said, the Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education has launched the National System for Evaluating School Performance. This initiative is part of the national efforts to enhance the quality of education in the Sultanate of Oman and align it with the country’s priorities and Oman Vision 2040.
The system aims to raise the standards of school education and ensure academic excellence by conducting comprehensive performance evaluations based on well-defined standards and indicators. The evaluation process includes field visits by specialized teams and the preparation of detailed reports outlining strengths and areas for improvement in each school.
The system also strengthens accountability and transparency in both school and higher education institutions. It provides the Ministry of Education with accurate data and performance indicators, helping to identify best practices to enhance the educational process and replace ineffective practices. The Ministry of Education has affirmed its commitment to supporting the system’s success in collaboration with the Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education. Together, they work to ensure that practices across the education sector align with international standards, contributing to the overall development of Oman’s education system.
