Obtaining a License for Artistic Production and Distribution
your profile: Ministry of Information

The Ministry of Information offers a range of e-services through its Injaz platform, catering to individuals, the private sector, and government institutions. These services, including obtaining, renewing, or canceling licenses, streamline administrative procedures by eliminating the need for physical visits and providing a user-friendly, efficient experience.
To obtain a license for artistic production and distribution, applicants can easily access the Injaz platform via its website or mobile application. The process begins by selecting the E-Services icon, navigating to Institutions, Private Sector, and then choosing the Media Activities section. Within this section, the "Artistic Production and Distribution License" option provides two key pages: one detailing the requirements and the other directing users to the login portal. Authentication is required through an ID card or phone card before proceeding to fill out the application form.
Applicants for an artistic production and distribution license must be Omani nationals or legally employed in Oman, registered in the commercial register of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and at least 21 years old. Additionally, a certificate of good conduct is required.
The application process consists of three stages. First, the request is submitted via the Injaz platform. Next, it undergoes review by the Head of the Department of Artistic Works Licenses and the Director of the Department of Media Licenses, who may approve or reject it as needed. If approved, the final stage involves payment of the licensing fee of approximately OMR 500, which is processed electronically. Once payment is completed, the license can be printed immediately. The entire process takes just two days.
The Ministry of Information's e-services reflect its commitment to modernizing and regulating the media sector, supporting Oman's digital transformation goals in alignment with Oman Vision 2040.
