The University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) offers a wide range of approximately 50 study programs across its various branches in the Sultanate of Oman. Through its official electronic portal, the university provides online services to students at the diploma, advanced diploma, bachelor's, and postgraduate levels.

The system allows currently employed individuals who wish to continue their studies to pursue diplomas, advanced diplomas, and bachelor's degrees on a part-time basis. This initiative reflects the University of Technology and Applied Sciences' commitment to developing knowledge, skills, capabilities, and experiences among society, in alignment with the labor market’s human resource needs.

The University of Technology and Applied Sciences has outlined the requirements and necessary documents for registration in the part-time system. These include a general diploma certificate or its equivalent, proof of completion of the foundation program, a certificate of the last academic qualification obtained after the general diploma (if applicable), and a certified transcript from the previous educational institution (if available). Additionally, applicants for advanced diploma and bachelor's programs must provide a valid IELTS or TOEFL certificate. Employed individuals must submit a data update form from the Ministry of Labor to confirm their employment status, along with a letter of no objection from their employer. A commitment pledge to cover tuition fees, either personally or through a sponsored scholarship, is also required.

Prospective students can easily register for the part-time program through the university’s website by filling the application form with personal details such as full name, ID number, labor force registration number, marital status, nationality, phone number, and email. Once the application is verified, it can be submitted quickly and efficiently.

UTAS has digitized many of its services, streamlining procedures for thousands of students across various disciplines. This transformation supports Oman Vision 2040, focusing on digital transformation, scientific research, and innovation. By incorporating artificial intelligence and Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, the university is actively contributing to the advancement of technical and applied education in the Sultanate of Oman.
