About the Ministry
The Ministry of Interior implements state policy in governorates and Wilayats, supervises their affairs, and coordinates with relevant bodies to maintain order. It prepares studies, plans, and development programs aligned with national policy. The Ministry also manages matters related to international borders, administrative divisions, Omani nationality, tribal affairs, and the organization of Shura and municipal council elections. It represents the Sultanate in regional and international meetings of the Interior Ministries.
