Updated features in the Intikhab application

Within the framework of Oman Vision 2040, the Ministry of Interior is committed to improve the quality of services provided to citizens and residents, by improving and facilitating services using the latest electronic technologies and employing them in line with the goals and vision of the Ministry.

The Intikhab application is evidence of the efforts made in the digital transformation to develop the electoral process and enhance transparency and credibility. It is also empowers candidates by allowing them to present their electoral programs through innovative digital tools, expanding their reach and enabling open communication for dialogue, discussion, and idea exchange.

The Ministry of Interior has introduced several modern features to the Intikhab application, represented by the "My Page" service. The candidate can add a personalized file in which he showcases his electoral vision, publications of photos and video clips, topics, his data, and view the details of the publications he has published for analysis.

The "My Page" service also enables the candidate to link their social media accounts, and contact information, such as email and phone number, engage in direct communication via voice and image with voters on the platform, while providing a private messaging option  within the platform. The candidate can also track the statistics of competitors in the state.

The new updates in the Intikhab application contributed to opening new opportunities for candidates, fostering direct interaction between voters and candidates. The enhancements support the Ministry of Interior’s goal of streamlining administrative processes and strengthening public participation in decision-making, reinforcing the partnership between citizens and government institutions.
