e-Payment gateway
1. Acceptance of terms and conditions
By using the e-Payment gateway, you agree to these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding with any transactions.
2. Scope of services
The e-Payment Gateway facilitates online payments for government services and fees. It does not store or process payment data directly but connects you to authorized banking or financial institutions.
3. Payment methods
The gateway supports credit cards and debit cards.
4. Payment confirmation
You will receive a notification via SMS and email once the payment is successful, along with a receipt confirming the successful payment transaction.
5. Cancellation and refund policy
If a user is charged more than once for the same transaction, they have the right to request for a refund within 48 hrs. To request a refund, the user must provide:
- Bank statement showing the duplicate charge.
- Payment confirmation email received from gov.om.
- Copy of the transaction details.
6. Refund processing considerations
- The refund will be issued to the account linked to the original payment method, regardless of the actual user of the service.
- Refunds will be processed within seven (14) business days from the date of transaction.
7. Security and privacy
The e-Payment Gateway adheres to strict security standards through:
- SSL encryption.
- PCI DSS compliance.
User data is used solely for payment processing purposes and is not shared with unauthorized third parties.
8. User responsibility
Users are responsible for:
- Ensuring that they have sufficient funds or credit limits in their accounts.
- Providing accurate payment details.
- Keeping login credentials secure.
9. Release of Liability
Unless explicitly stated, information on this e-payment site does not constitute any legally binding contract or agreement between the user and gov.om. Gov.om and the payment service provider are not liable for:
- Losses caused by user errors during the payment process.
- Processing delays due to bank network issues.
- Unauthorized transactions due to hacking of user credentials.
10. e-Payment gateway policies
Gov.om strives to ensure the accuracy of all content and information provided on the e-payment website at the time of publication. However, Gov.om does not guarantee that all information is always up to date or error-free. It is available as provided by law in the Sultanate of Oman, including the online payment service, without any warranties, conditions or undertakings of any kind.
11. Service availability
While gov.om makes reasonable efforts to ensure the continuous availability and functionality of the e-payment service, it does not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or secure access at all times.
- Compatibility of the service with all user devices, browsers, or software.
- Immediate restoration of the service in case of technical issues.
Gov.om reserves the right to suspend or restrict access to the e-payment site, in full or in part, without prior notice and for any reason.
12. External links
The e-payment website may contain links to external websites that are not under the management of gov.om. Therefore, Gov.om does not take responsibility for the accuracy, security, or reliability of external websites or any damage that may result from the use of or reliance on information contained in external websites.
