Special conditions
- To pass the tests prepared by the ministry
- To be an Omani 18-year-old or above, or to be a foreigner 25-year-old or above
- To be fully competent, to be in good conduct and have a good reputation
- To not be previously sentenced to a felony or punishment that restricts their freedom in a crime that violates honor or honesty, unless they have been rehabilitated
- To prove physical fitness
- To have appropriate qualification as a tourist guide
- To be able to speak a foreign language besides Arabic
