- A no-objection letter from the building owner approving the installation of the sign on the building
- Fill out the application form for installing an advertising sign
- The activity of advertising and promotional institutions
- A copy of the ownership document and the site plan
- Provide a realistic visualization or a clear model of the sign showing the dimensions, along with recent photos of the building to clarify the dimensions and height of the building

- The technical requirements vary depending on the type of sign to be installed, and these requirements can be reviewed by visiting the Muscat Municipality website.
- Installing advertising signs on residential buildings is prohibited.
- Installing advertising signs for promotional purposes on public land, such as street sidewalks, is prohibited except under specific regulations set by the relevant authority.
- Installing advertising signs on rooftops of buildings less than 18 meters high is prohibited.
