Special conditions
- Submitting the request does not mean the Ministry is committed to approving it, but rather it means studying the request to decide whether or not to grant assistance or a housing unit in accordance with the Social Housing Law
- Incorrect information may lead to the applicant being denied housing assistance or a housing unit, in addition to the legal penalty for forgery in official documents, as specified in the Omani Penal Code
- The applicant must be of Omani nationality
- The applicant or their spouse must not own any property or land whose value is equivalent to the value of the residential unit or assistance
- The applicant or their spouse must not own a suitable residence or disposed of it in any kind of legal action with the aim of benefiting from the assistance
- The applicant or their spouse must not have previously benefited from a housing unit, housing assistance, or any other laws or regulations that make it easier for them to build or get a home
- The applicant must not be an employee of an entity that has a housing lending system for its employees
- The total monthly salary should not exceed (300) riyals to request housing assistance
