Special conditions
- She must acknowledge in writing her desire to renounce the citizenship of the country she holds, and provide evidence that its law allows her to do so
- Her marriage must have taken place with prior approval from the Ministry. This condition does not apply to someone whose marriage took place before her husband obtained Omani citizenship
- To have a son from her Omani husband
- She must have been legally and continuously residing in Oman for a period of not less than fifteen (15) years, and her absence during one year for a period not exceeding sixty (60) days does not preclude her being considered continuous
- She must not be married to a non-Omani
- To be conversant in spoken Arabic
- To be of good conduct and conduct
- She must not have been previously convicted of a felony or a crime against honor or trust, unless she has been rehabilitated
- She must be healthy and free from infectious diseases, as determined by the regulations
