Safe Donation through "Joud" Platform

The Ministry of Social Development has launched an official electronic platform dedicated to receiving donations and providing financial assistance to those in need. The platform brings together 91 charitable associations and volunteer teams across the Sultanate of Oman, enabling individuals and institutions to donate electronically through secure payment channels.

The Joud platform simplifies the donation process for individuals and institutions. It aims to establish a unified database to record the data of beneficiaries of charitable aid and assistance, reduce the time and effort required to study cases, ensure the security of beneficiaries' information and donations, and protect the privacy of both donors and recipients. Additionally, it supports the work of government, supervisory, and regulatory agencies. The platform offers multiple ways to donate, including donating by initiative, donating by charitable association or volunteer  team, donating to a specific case, and in-kind donations.

An account can be registered on the Joud platform in easy steps by filling in the following data: ID Number, ID card expiration date, six-digit authentication code, phone number, and password. Once registered, users can immediately access and benefit from the platform’s services.

The Joud platform allows donors to contribute in several ways, including cash assistance, in-kind assistance, housing assistance, general assistance to support summer centers, support for Quran schools, and group wedding sponsorship.

The platform displays general statistics reflecting donors' efforts. They represent the number of donors and total donations in Omani riyals. These statistics are monitored according to the year, month, and day, which motivates and encourages donors to provide more.
