The Civil Aviation Authority has launched the Serb Platform, a significant step to enhance its regulatory oversight of drone operations and strengthen air navigation safety across the Sultanate of Oman. The platform aims to efficiently manage drone air traffic while ensuring compliance with aviation regulations.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority, individuals will be able to access the platform following its official launch. Drone hobbyists are encouraged to register their details accurately to obtain flight permits within approved green zones, in coordination with military and security authorities. The Authority stressed the importance of following aviation guidelines, warning that any violations after the platform’s activation will lead to legal action.

The Serb Platform is designed to streamline licensing procedures, simplify drone registration, and address the increasing demand from drone operators. It will also enable authorities to monitor and track drone movements, promoting safer air navigation and ensuring drone activities are restricted to designated safe zones.
