About the Ministry
The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology is concerned with overseeing road and port projects and regulating the transport and logistics sectors by enacting legislation and issuing regulations to enhance Oman's position as a global logistics hub.
The Ministry also formulates and implements strategies to activate the digital government in Oman. Its main mission is to raise the level of efficiency in government performance, innovation in service delivery, and enhance economic growth by utilizing ICT to help the government sector achieve innovative performance, smart services and a distinctive digital experience.
