"Maliyah" E-System
your profile: Ministry of Finance

The Ministry of Finance is preparing to launch a new electronic public finance management system in the Sultanate of Oman, named "Maliyah." This system is designed to implement best practices in managing the state's public finances, ensuring the optimal use of financial resources in alignment with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
Maliyah will cover all phases of public finance management, from planning and implementation to monitoring and reporting on Oman's General Budget. The Ministry of Finance has outlined key objectives for the system, including enhancing decision-making by providing accurate financial data, strengthening financial governance and transparency, supporting financial accounting applications, developing national expertise in public finance management, and facilitating the implementation of general budget management initiatives.
The Ministry anticipates several positive outcomes following the launch of Maliyah. The system is expected to support senior government leadership in issuing accurate financial reports, reduce the time required to process government transactions, optimize government budgets, control public spending to minimize waste, and ensure the effective management of government assets.
By providing integrated financial solutions, Maliyah will contribute to realizing the Ministry of Finance’s vision of ensuring the efficient use of state financial resources, diversifying revenue sources, and maintaining a balance between income and expenditures, ultimately supporting sustainable development.
