Hasil Platform Enables Public Service Complaint Submission

Oman's Authority for Public Services Regulation aims to ensure that public services are accessible and efficient, by balancing the interests of customers, Government, and investors, and aspiring to be recognised as the most professional and transparent regulatory authority in the region.

To monitor the quality of services provided, the Authority for Public Services Regulation has launched the Hasil platform, which is concerned with receiving customers’ complaints, by filling out the electronic complaint form when accessing the Authority's website, through quick steps, starting with registering the customer’s full name, civil ID number, account number, and mobile number, then specifying the company against which the complaint is to be filed, and the type of complaint, such as: Billing complaints, network complaints or others, with a short summary of the complaint, then clarifying whether the complaint was submitted to the service provider before contacting the Authority, and then submission of the complaint successfully in order to be resolved.

Through the Hasil system, a range of complaints can be filed, such as: Billing, current connection or relocation, power outages, meter tampering, landlord/tenant complaint, and other issues related to the Electricity Sector.

The customer can refer the complaint to the Authority after submitting it to the service provider, not being satisfied with the action taken, or due to failure to respond within the permitted period, as the Authority has the legal powers to consider and adjudicate the complaint. Subscribers to public services can contact the Authority during official working hours for further advice on the procedures to be followed.

This system is one of the key achievements of the digital transformation achieved by Oman’s Authority for Public Services Regulation, in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 to enhance transparency and ensure a safe and efficient operation of the Electricity and Water Sector as well as providing public safety.
