Environment Authority

The Environment Authority is responsible for setting policies and implementing programs aimed at protecting and sustaining the Omani environment. The Authority was established to organize and manage environmental efforts in a manner that ensures the preservation of natural resources and combating the challenges of the Omani environment. It is concerned with issuing and implementing environmental laws and legislation related to natural reserves, the marine environment and biodiversity in line with Oman Vision 2040, which aims to achieve sustainable development.
